What is it?

Journal Entry: Thu Oct 18, 2007, 12:24 AM
New Upload, Old Art:

Thats my notebook.

So I looked through all of my stuff, and I can't believe how much my art evolved.
It went from simple to traditional to documentary to pop art to pointless to dreamy..
Crazy stuff. I uploaded some writing, I've been really into writing lately. I also got two more rolls of film from summer to develop, so I'm sure I WILL update.

love lots,

I am so terribly sorry it took me forever to get back to you.
Long story short, I'm having computer issues.

So anyway...
The Powershot S5 IS is an amazing camera.
It's a very good piece of hardware. I've had it for about a month now, and so far I've gotten some amazing pictures out of it. It has a fantastic zoom ability, I've goten some pictures that I had taken from atleast 100ft away and they looked as if I were back 3ft.
The color options are quite cool, where after you take your shot, you can change it to sepia, black and white, or different red, green, or blue shades. I also know that there is the option to only pick out a specific color in a picture, but I have yet to figure out how to do that. . .
Which brings me to one of the only problems I have with this camera; With so many buttons and options it takes so time to learn how to use them.
But over all, my opinion is that the S5 IS is a fantastic camera, and I think that it's well worth the $500 it cost.

P.S. --
If you do end up wanting to purchase the camera... online, try going to crutchfield.com
You'll save money on tax and shipping costs. They're both totally free.

hey, dont even worry about it. thanks for replying. you opinions helped.
but one more question... would you think a jump up DSLR ($200 more) would be better than getting the S5 IS?

I'm not sure. I'm not that familiar with DSLRs so I wouldn't know.
You'd probably be better off asking someone who knows them better.
